It is advisable for a candidate to seek out information about the company and offered position before having an interview in order to evaluate if it is appropriate for his or her profile. This will also help the candidate properly prepare a personal value proposal (what the candidate brings to the position, in line with company goals) in order to optimize time in the interview. For certain positions, the process might include a group interview or an interview that entails analyzing a business case, the latter being typical in the strategic consultancy sector. Identifying beforehand the style and who will be conducting the interview will help in the preparation process.
It is important not to be late or keep the interviewer waiting, since this can present a negative impression. On the other hand, it is common for people to be late in Argentina and appointments are not always held in a timely fashion; the interviewee should be prepared to wait and not feel personally slighted for the delay. The usual greeting in an interview is a handshake for both men and women. At the beginning of an interview, it is also common to exchange business cards.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Argentina guide.
