   :: Interviewing Advice

Excerpted from the Peru Guide

If interested in an applicant and in having an interview with him/her for the selection process, companies in Peru are willing to pay for the numbers of days a prospective employee is required to be in the city/country.

Job interviews are normally conducted in Spanish. Even when the applicant is a foreigner, employers assume that he or she knows sufficient Spanish to apply for a specific job. Very few companies make an exception and interview foreign candidates in English to make them feel more comfortable during the interview. On the other hand, multinational organizations are used to holding interviews in English to evaluate the qualities of listening and speaking of the applicant in this language. The applicant should determine the language in which the session will be conducted in order to be amply prepared.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Peru guide.
