   :: Information Technology

Excerpted from the Peru Guide

In the Peruvian economy, the information technology industry represents one percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It is still difficult to measure the real contribution of the IT industry to the GDP because of the existence of an informal sector in the IT industry where most enterprises that work in IT are not formally registered.

Nevertheless, the investment in the IT market is currently USD 700 million (representing growth of 7.6 percent in a year). This creates new opportunities for IT development and business in Peru . Many business enterprises have recently bought net servers, whereas medium-sized enterprises bought ERP solutions to integrate their operations, reduce costs and to increase their productivity.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Peru guide.
