For those searching for a job in the various fields of engineering, South Korea provides a wide playing field with good hiring prospects. According to a survey from Incruit, major Korean companies in the electric/electronics industry recently added 8,880 new employees, up 77 percent from the previous year. In another survey, the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) found that respondents plan to hire 5,486 researchers, which is up 1.9 percent compared to the previous year, with bachelor's degrees accounting for 51.5 percent, and master's and doctorate degrees at 38.1 percent and 10.4 percent, respectively.
