   :: Work Permits

Excerpted from the Korea Career Guide

Visas are generally required for entry and employment in South Korea. Permission to enter South Korea is granted (or denied) at the point of entry; receipt of a visa does not guarantee entry.

Broadly, the South Korean government issues three categories of ordinary visas:

  • Employment Visa
  • Long-Term Stay Visa
  • Non-Profit & Short Term Stay Visa

Each of these categories has several visa types associated with them. In total, South Korea presently issues 28 types of ordinary visas. Regardless of the type of visa required, everyone must complete an Application for Visa.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete South Korea guide.
