   :: Resume/CVs

Excerpted from the Korea Career Guide

Cover letters are often not used in the Korean employee recruitment progress. In lieu of cover letters, the résumé/CV may include a final “self introduction” portion, which serves the purpose of the cover letter. This would describe and include all the information that is suitable for a cover letter. Unless specified by the firm, it is not a requirement in the application process.

The personal data section includes the following information: full name, present address, contact numbers for telephone and cellular phone, email, data of birth, place of birth, nationality, marital status and family size. Koreans include their resident number, as well as whether one is the eldest child. Attaching a photograph is appreciated.

You'll find specific examples of cover letters and CVs relevant to South Korea in the complete South Korea guide.
