Excerpted from the South Africa Career Guide
South Africa has one of the most diverse communities in the world. Part of the South African legacy is the lack of understanding of the different cultures. Language and cultural differences are prominent and should be taken into consideration in all forms of interaction.
To accommodate South Africa's diverse peoples, the South African Constitution provides for 11 official languages, namely Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Sepedi, Sesotho, Swati, Xitsonga, Setswana, Tshivenda, Xhosa and Zulu. English is, however, the language most commonly used in business. Almost 80 percent of South Africa's population adheres to the Christian faith. Other major religious groups are the Hindus, Muslims and Jews.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete South Africa guide.
