Job Search Overview
For an expatriate, finding a job in Spain can seem like an insurmountable task. In Spain not all jobs available are published by conventional means (i.e., newspapers, specialized press, job agencies and temporary help firms). In fact, jobs announced in these ways represent only about 60 percent of the actual employment possibilities.
To find a job in Spain the following sources may be used: local and national daily press, specialized press, company directories, yellow pages, employment publications, job fairs, seminars, associations, job agencies, temporary search firms, chambers of commerce, university-enterprise foundations, personal contacts, companies and the Internet.
Online Job Sites
Empleo
http://www.empleo.com (Spanish)
Empleo.com lists some 1,500 job opportunities and contains more than 14,000 résumés/CVs. It belongs to the Keropa group, which is part of Kudial Search. Unlike many websites, Empleo.com only allows searches by job type and province; however, candidates can receive weekly job offers by email (Job Alert).
Infoempleo
http://www.infoempleo.com (Spanish)
Infoempleo.com posts more than 26,000 private employment offers and allows very specific searches by keyword, company, geographical location, start date, occupation (23 different areas) and business sector in the areas of administration, agriculture, finance, construction, consultancy, culture, distribution, industrial, media, services, technology and scientific research. Other areas are public employment, press-published offers and voluntary employment. In addition, useful information about courses, awards, online training, training centers and news is provided. Infoempleo also has a Job Alert service that will email job vacancies directly to candidates according to specified criteria, such as occupation, company and location.
This is just a sample of the job resources that you'll find in the complete Spain guide.
