   :: Cultural Advice

Excerpted from the Switzerland Career Guide

Business cards are important for doing business and networking in Switzerland. The Swiss like to include the founding date of the company on the card; this is especially impressive if the founding date is quite old. The card should include name, followed by academic degree, followed by title, followed by raking membership in any important academic or professional organization

Swiss Germans like to begin business quickly. French and Italian Swiss tend to spend some time exchanging pleasantries. Conversations may include sports, Swiss history, culture or travels to the country. The Swiss also enjoy discussing politics, so it is wise to brush up on current events. Personal subjects should be avoided.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Switzerland guide.
