According to a recent Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, employers' hiring confidence averages 18 percent in the United Kingdom. In the North East region it is even higher, with around 23 percent of employers expecting to hire additional staff. This is largely due to the fact that the North East region benefits from a mixed labor pool with many different skilled workers.
Optimism about business in general remains high at 68 percent and is expected to continue to rise, according to The Daily Telegraph/Cranfield School of Management Recruitment Confidence Index (RCI). The RCI provides a five-year history of recruitment activity and has been accurate in its predictions of a rise in online recruitment and the continuing need for strong sales management skills to drive businesses forward. Three out of four IT organizations are having problems filling management and professional vacancies. Good sales managers and engineers have remained consistently hard to find.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete United Kingdom guide.
